People Aligned in Positive Action

Initial financial support to PAPA is used to assist us in transitioning from volunteer to paid professional staff, enabling PAPA to effectively administer funding, promote cultural events and market energy projects / products.

When this organization was formed, it was called MAMA: Maui Arts & Music Association, with the chartered mission of promoting visual and healing arts, music and the cultures of these islands, the sale of said products to raise the capital to supplement the development of renewable energy and other environmental solutions and to implement a DREAMMAUI- a planned self sustainability model, both as a specific location for technologies to be developed and then viewed, but also as an island- encouraging initial use and implementation of these technologies and the development of for-profit companies and the subsequent “technology export” to the world. This shift from importer to exporter may be the most important thing that we can be doing to help our island’s long range future.

People aligned in positive action can accomplish seeming miracles. It’s not that. It’s the alignement to the goals and the conscious cooperation that results.

Our commitment is to the good works that can result from working together. Our organization’s decisions are based on what actions will result in the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Our decision to take 1/3 of our net proceeds and put them directly into environmental projects is a decision based on this commitment. We hope to attract members and sponsors who hold their principles of right actions above their own selfish desires for personal gain. We know that good works will bring personal gain naturally, and we feel that abundance is a natural result from right action.

So, when someone asks you who is PAPA, tell them it’s you... and them too!
